# Do I need a JID for each participant?

It depends on how participants are registered:

If you register as a group, a single JID will be issued for the whole group.

Want each participant to access Challenge Valley and receive their own certificate? Encourage them to register individually.Learn how to register for JOTA-JOTI

# I don't see a JID on My Account

If you don’t see a JID on My Account, please check that your scout.org profile includes a country. A valid country is required for the JID to be generated. To update your scout.org profile, visit scout.org, log in, and check your profile settings. If your profile includes a country and the JID still doesn’t appear after some time, please reach out to support for assistance.

# I have not received my JID code. Where can I get it?

JID codes (Jamboree IDs) are issued automatically after registration, but they are not sent via email. You can find your JID by logging into the JOTA-JOTI platform.

Log in to jotajoti.infoGo to jotajoti.info and log in with your scout.org account.

Go to My AccountOnce logged in, click on your user icon (top right) and select My Account. Your JID will be displayed there.

# I still have our JID from a previous year — can I use it again this year?

No. A new JID is issued to each registered participant or group every year.To take part in this year’s JamPuz, you’ll need to register again and use the new JID provided for the current edition of JOTA-JOTI.Note: Reusing an old JID won’t work, as the codes change each year to reflect new participants and registration data.

# My Scouts are taking part in JOTA-JOTI at home — can they use the same JID?

If your Scouts are participating from home, in patrol hubs, or from your Scout Den, you have two options:

They can register individually at jotajoti.info,

Or you can share your group’s JID with them if you've registered as a group.

However, if each Scout registers individually, they will:

Get access to their own Challenge Valley profile

Receive a personalised Certificate of Participation after the event

This is the recommended option for Scouts joining independently or wanting to track their own progress.

# Someone gave me a code, but it doesn't look like a JID. What's going on?

If someone gives you a code that doesn’t match the JID format, it’s likely a callsign from an amateur radio operator.Radio operators participating in JOTA-JOTI will use a licensed callsign, and some may even use a special event callsign just for JOTA-JOTI. These callsigns are not part of the JamPuz system. If the radio station or location completes the JOTA-JOTI registration process, they’ll receive a proper JamPuz JID code as well.Tip: Registration is open throughout the event, but we encourage stations to sign up before JOTA-JOTI begins.

# What are the 'country codes' in the JID?

Characters two and three of every JID (Jamboree ID) indicate the country where the participant or group is located.JOTA-JOTI uses the standard two-letter country codes defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).🌍 For example:

GB = United Kingdom

IN = India

BR = Brazil

You can view the full list of ISO country codes here.

# What are the 'region codes' in the JID?

The first character in your JID represents the WOSM region you belong to.Here are the current region codes used in JIDs:AfricanArabAsia-PacificNot in use (previously Eurasian)EuropeanInteramericanIf you’re a member of a WAGGGS Member Organisation, you’ve been assigned the corresponding WOSM region code for your country.JIDs with region code 7 are no longer being issued. Global participants should use the regional code for their location instead.

# When I have my JID and have printed the documents, how do I collect other JIDs?

Once you have your JID and your JamPuz documents printed, you’re ready to start collecting JIDs from other participants!

Here’s how it works:

When you make contact with another Scout group or individual, ask them for their JID, and give them yours in return.

Both sides record each other’s JID on their JamPuz tracking sheet or activity documents.

You can swap JIDs no matter which communication method you’re using — radio, chat, video call, or another platform.

You can also use the My Connections feature on jotajoti.info to keep track of the JIDs you’ve collected digitally during the event.

Reminder: JamPuz is about creating real connections, not just collecting codes. Take time to talk and learn about the other group!

# Where are the documents to support the JamPuz game?

To take part in JamPuz, you'll need to print the JamPuz cards and other supporting documents and bring them to your JOTA-JOTI event. You may want to enlarge the cards so everyone can easily see your progress throughout the weekend. You can download the official JamPuz materials here: jotajoti.info/jampuzTip: Don’t forget to print enough copies for your group — or one large version for your wall!Prefer to track JIDs online? You can also use the My Connections feature on jotajoti.info to digitally record the JIDs you collect during the event. This is a great option for individuals or groups participating from multiple locations or online.

# Challenges & The Challenge Valley

There is a new feature in the JOTA-JOTI 2020 edition where registered users are able to participate in Challenges.

As Helpdesk agents, here are some very important points for you to understand:

1. There are a number of Challenges throughout the campsite. Challenges are bundled into the activities a registered user can participate in. As an example, in the Celebration Arena campsite, a user may participate in the "Celebrating 10 years of MOP" activity. Registered JOTA-JOTI 2020 participants may also refer to the Challenge code as "Activity Codes".

2. During the activity, some questions, quizzes, puzzles, or something similar may be posted or asked.

3. Participants who complete the question, quizzes, or puzzles will be given a Challenge code by the Activity Coordinator.

4. A list of codes is available for each activity and is only accessible by the Program & Activity Coordinators. The list of codes is NOT accessible by helpdesk agents or JOTA-JOTI 2020 participants.

5. Registered JOTA-JOTI participants who have completed Challenges will use the code to redeem a badge in the Challenge Valley. The Challenge Valley looks like the image below:

6. For each badge, there are 5 challenges. Registered JOTA-JOTI participants can complete as many challenges as they want.

7. In the Challenge Valley, the registered participant can input his/her code as shown in the image below:

8. Once the participant has completed all 5 challenges associated with a Badge, the participant can redeem the digital badge.

9. The participant's digital badge stays with the participant's profile only on the JOTA-JOTI site. It is not exported to the participant's scout.org account. This will be something we develop for JOTA-JOTI 2021.

10. As this is a new feature, Helpdesk agents are to track and tag all tickets with issues related to Challenges and the Challenge Valley. Please add the Tag "Challenge". To the ticket, if you encounter a Challenge or Challenge Valley ticket. The screenshot below shows you where to update the Tag.

A guide for Agents on the flow of the Challenge Valley is available at https://support.jotajoti.info/hc/en-gb/articles/360002046716-Challenge-Valley-How-does-it-work-

A user's guide is available at https://support.jotajoti.info/hc/en-gb/articles/360002042535-Challenge-Valley

Please note that this section is still in the development and fine-tuning phases so please do expect continuous updates to the document and feature.

# Easy Generator: Account Confirmation screen

Over the past few months, we have transitioned the scout.org login to an improved and more secure product called Keycloak (KC).

As part of the transition, efforts have been made to update the Single Sign On (SSO) for a number of the connected WOSM platforms. One such platform is EasyGenerator.

The integration works of EasyGenerator with scout.org is a complex affair and there exists a possibility, that users may face issues getting access to the e-learning courses.  Users may experience the following screen:

The screen above simply means the logged in user has an EXISTING account on easygenerator. The logged in user must key in the easygenerator account password as a one-time confirmation affair to get past this screen.

# How can agents leverage knowledge to help customers?

You can use our Knowledge Capture app to leverage your team’s collective knowledge.

Using the app, agents can:

Search the Help Centre without leaving the ticket

Insert links to relevant Help Centre articles in ticket comments

Add inline feedback to existing articles that need updates

Create new articles while answering tickets using a pre-defined template

Agents never have to leave the ticket interface to share, flag, or create knowledge, so they can help the customer, while also improving your self-service offerings for other customers.

To get started, see our Knowledge Capture documentation.

And before your agents can start creating new knowledge directly from tickets, you’ll need to create a template for them to use. To help you along, we’ve provided some template ideas below. You can copy and paste any sample template below into a new article, add the KCTemplate label to the article, and you’ll be all set.

# How do I customise my Help Centre?

You can modify the look and feel of your Help Centre by changing colours and fonts. See Branding your Help Centre to learn how.

You can also change the design of your Help Centre. If you're comfortable working with page code, you can dig in to the site's HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to customise your theme. To get started, see Customising the Help Centre.

# How do I publish my content in other languages?

If you have configured your Help Centre to support multiple languages, you can publish content in your supported languages.

Here's the workflow for localising your Help Centre content into other languages:

Get your content translated in the other languages.

Configure the Help Centre to support all your languages.

Add the translated content to the Help Centre.

For complete instructions, see Localising the Help Centre.

# I am trying to collect as many JIDs as possible very quickly, but people want to have a conversation rather than just swapping JIDs. Why?

JamPuz is NOT about quickly collecting JIDs. JamPuz is about conversations not just contacts. So please take the time to have a conversation with the person you are swapping JIDs with, and not simply ask for their JID and move on. There are no prizes for completing the JamPuz documents, they are simply an aid to encouraging people to have conversations with a wide range of people during JOTA-JOTI. ScoutLink has set up a #jampuz channel on ScoutLink IRC for those that simply want to swap JIDs.

# What are these sections and articles doing here?

This FAQ is a section in the General category of your Help Centre knowledge base. We created this category and a few common sections to help you get started with your Help Centre.

The knowledge base in the Help Centre consists of three main page types: category pages, section pages, and articles. Here's the structure:

You can create your own categories, sections, and articles and modify or completely delete ours. See the Organising knowledge base content and Creating articles in the Help Centre to learn how.
