Registering for JOTA-JOTI
To register for JOTA-JOTI, you need to have a scout.org account. If you don't already have a scout.org account, you can follow this guide to create one.
Go to jotajoti.info and click "Register now" or "Log in" to login with your scout.org account.
After clicking "Register now", you will be redirected to log in with your scout.org account. Fill in your username/email address and your password, and press "Login" to log in with your scout.org account.
If you don't have a scout.org account or can't remember your password, press "Register" or "Forgot password?".
Once you've logged in with your scout.org account, you will be redirected to jotajoti.info, where you should see a registration box. You have three options for registering:
- If want to register yourself, select "I'm 13 years or older".
- If you want to register one or more children, select "I'm registering a child under 13 year".
- If you only want to register a group, select "I'm a Scout leader - register my group".
If you do not see the registration box, it's because you have probably already registered for the event. To check this, press the user icon and select "My Account".
1. Registering as an individual participant
When registering as an individual participant, you will be asked to select your age group. This information is used to customize your JOTA-JOTI experience and to help us improve the event.
Once you've selected your age group, click "Continue" to finish your registration and see the confirmation screen below.
Following your registration, you should receive an email with some more information about JOTA-JOTI and examples of how you can start to get ready for the event.
2. Registering a child
When registering one or more children, you will be asked to input and select the child's information (name, age group & country). This information helps us improve the event and make sure the activities on offer are suitable for all participants.
If you are registering more children, press "Add another child" to add one more child. If not, press "Continue" to review your child registration.
After filling out the child information and pressing "Continue", you will be asked to check and confirm the information. If you want to change the number of children or their information, press "Back" to go back to edit the registration.
If everything looks good, press "Continue" to finish the child registration and see the confirmation screen below.
Following the child registration, you will receive an email with some more information about the event and how to take part.
3. Registering a Scout group
When registering a Scout group, you will be asked to input some information about the group. This information is shown in the Scout group directory where Scout groups around the world can find other groups to connect with during JOTA-JOTI.
After you've entered the group's basic information, you have to select and input your group contact channels. Once a contact method is selected, a field is shown where you can enter details of how to contact you on the selected channel. The available channels are:
- Radio call (amateur radio call sign)
- IRC group name
- Skype (username)
- Email address
- Facebook (name of Facebook group/page)
- Instagram (group Instagram handle)
- X (group Twitter handle)
Once you've entered the desired contact details and clicked "Continue", you will see an overview of the entered group and contact details. Here, you can check if everything looks right and click "Continue" to confirm.
After confirming your group details, you will see a confirmation page and receive an email with information about how you can participate in JOTA-JOTI.
