Why do I have to share my date of birth when I register?

We ask for your date of birth to help ensure a safe and age-appropriate experience for all participants.If you're 13 years or older, you can register for JOTA-JOTI on your own.If you're under 13, a parent or guardian must register on your behalf and agree to supervise your participation throughout the event.This requirement helps us apply Safe from Harm principles and protect all young people taking part.
